Taylor & Elizabeth take an evening dip in Lake Michigan, Elberta, Michigan 2005
(There was no post editing of this photograph; this is exactly as we experienced it.)
In the forty plus years that I've escaped to Elberta Beach, it's never changed (other than the few years in the 70's that they hosted the hang-gliding festivals and the place resembled Woodstock.)
This photograph was taken on one of the more memorable days at Elberta Beach. As the sun went down, the air and water temperatures started playing games and we were shrouded by fog twice between 19:00 and 21:00. It was fantastic.
This is also the day that I drove the truck as far south on the two track and when I went out for more food and beverage, there was no weight in the back and everyone had to push me out. Almost over heated the engine.
This was the same day that, as we were driving there, little Eric told us he was excited to see girls in bikinis and I had to break the news to him that we, most likely would be the only people there. His heart was temporarily broken, until we broke out the kites.
